A Wedding Story: Abbey & Patrick

Union on 8th | Georgetown Wedding Photography

Abbey & Patrick’s love story started about 5 years ago when Abbey moved to Austin from Vermont. She met Patrick online in October and there was instant chemistry between them. They both love to have fun, be silly and laugh. I learned Patrick is a huge Aggie fan, as he made Abbey promise never to wear burnt orange in their vows. My favorite part of their wedding was the ceremony. They made it personal, funny and entertaining. Congrats to the newly weds!

Their wedding was on March 25th at the beautiful Union on the 8th, in Georgetown Texas. This unique venue offered a mix of rustic & industrial design. One of my favorite parts of the venue, are the blue doors at the entrance. I also loved the formal set up inside the building. The grooms quarters is located in an airstream RV, parked outback. Very cool! The delicious cake was made by Sugar Shaker Bakery and Tiffany from Carefree weddings assisted with the wedding coordination. Here are some of my favorites!

A Wedding Story: Melissa & Arcadio

Brodie Homestead in Austin, Texas

Wedding photography from Melissa & Arcadio's wedding on March 23rd. These two have amazing chemistry together! Their story began when Arcadio moved to Texas from Venezuela and met Melissa online. Arcadio asked her out on a date and they hit it off right away. After dating for about a year, he asked her to marry him and she said YES!

Melissa & Arcadio had a beautiful wedding at the Brodie Homestead in Austin. The venue is a restored, rustic barn with a modern elegance to it. My favorite part of the venue is the architecture, high-ceilings and large chandeliers. It had a warm ambiance about it. The food was so delicious too! They had barbecued ribs, tender brisket and all the fixings from Pokey Jo's. It was some of the best food I've had :) They had such a beautiful and romantic wedding. I'm so happy I had the pleasure of capturing these special moments. Here are some of my favorites!

An Engagement Story: Mollie & Juan Carlos

Engagement photography at Mt. Bonnell & Mayfield Park

Sneak peeks from my engagement session with Mollie & her fiancé, Juan Carlos. Mollie is a UT graduate student, and Juan Carlos works for his dad's company in Chile. They met at church while Mollie was studying abroad, about three and a half years ago. At this point, they have spent more time apart than together, as they live almost a hemisphere away. In March, Juan Carlos was able to travel up to Austin to visit his love. I had the opportunity to capture some elegant engagement photos of them, while seeing the sights and beauty Austin has to offer. These two are getting married in September, of next year! Only a year and a half left, and then they will finally be together. Here are some of my favorites :)

A Wedding Story: Darlene & Fernando

Austin wedding photography at the Dunvegan Keep

Photos from Fernando & Darlene's beautiful fairy-tale wedding, at the Dunvegan Keep in Austin, Texas. The Dunvegan Keep is an old-world estate, with a beautiful garden and romantic charm. There are so many spots to take photos, with little surprises around every corner. It was raining, but that didn't stop us from creating some amazing works of art!

I documented how theses two met and shared more about their engagement story, last month. Their wedding was so sweet and they even included their pups into the ceremony. Nova (the little one) had an important job, she was their ring-bearer! Following their union, they had dinner and shared stories, toasted and gave thanks, and then danced the night away. Congratulations to the newly weds! Everyone had so much fun and I captured some memorable moments from the night. Thank you so much for the opportunity, I hope you enjoy them :)

Justin has the coolest job, he's a hockey player for our very own Texas Stars. While their home is in Canada, they have made Austin their second home during the hockey season, and they love it here. Justin decided he couldn't wait any longer. He surprised his love and popped the question at the beautiful, Mayfield Park in Austin. She was so surprised, happy, and excited...and she said YES! :) Congratulations you two, I hope you love the photos!

Sneak peeks from Claudia & Dustin engagement session on Saturday at a horse ranch in the hill country. Claudia and Dustin have been together for about 18 months and they recently got engaged. They are planning a rustic, Texas-style wedding in November and they wanted to take photos out in the country. This was my first engagement shoot incorporating horses, and it was so fun! Claudia & Dustin have amazing chemistry together, and I got some beautiful photos of them together. Definitely one of my favorite photo sessions! Enjoy :)

An Engagement Story: Darlene & Fernando

Engagement photography at Mayfield Park

Sneak peeks with the adorable couple, Darlene & Fernando. When they meet for the first time online, they discovered they had a lot in common. They instantly connected over their love for dogs and working with children. Their first date was at Zilker park, where they had a double-date with their pups! Fernando & Darlene (and their dogs) hit it off right away. After dating for a year or so, Fernando decided to propose to Darlene. They traveled to the Dominican Republic for a romantic vacation. He proposed to her while they were swimming with the dolphins, it was so sweet...and she said yes! Here are some of my favorites with them :)

Check out the peacock posing for this picture. I love it!

A Wedding Story: Joey & Michelle

Wedding photography at The Allan House in Austin

Sneak peeks from Michelle & Joey's wedding on Thursday, Jan 5th at the Allan House in Austin, Texas. Joey is from Norway and Michelle is from Round Rock, Texas. They meet each other while attending a Christian University in Australia. Soon they realized God had brought them together for a reason. After dating for a little over 6 months, they got engaged! They are one of the sweetest couples I've met, and they make a perfect match together.

Their wedding was absolutely stunning! Both Michelle and Joey's families meet each other for the first time. Joey's family traveled to Austin from Norway. Michelle, Joey and their friends came up from Australia. Their guests enjoyed a Tex-Mex dinner, played games, sang songs, and shared some incredible stories about Michelle and Joey. Michelle looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress, and the delicious cake was made by Coco Paloma Desserts. It was so wonderful to be part of their special day!

A Wedding Story: John & Alyssa

Red Ridge Receptions Wedding Photography

It's been a busy week! On top of taking care of my babies, I've been working on getting editing done, emails sent, and prints mailed for everyone before Christmas. I'm so excited to share these sneak peeks from John & Alyssa's wedding at the Red Ridge Receptions in Smithville, Texas. These two had a beautiful wedding last Saturday, Dec 17th. Their friends and family joined them for a celebration in honor of their love for each other. I shared John & Alyssa's proposal story back in August, when I photographed their engagement session.

Their wedding started out with a sunset ceremony where they read their vows and exchanged rings. After they said "I do" we took some family photos while their guest enjoyed cocktail hour, a smoore and hot chocolate bar. They had a delicious Italian dinner, followed by warm wishes and toasts from their family and friends. Next, they cut the cake and danced the night away! Everyone loved the photo-booth at the venue. Their wedding was beautiful and fun! I'm so glad I had the pleasure of getting to know these two, and capture these amazing moments. Happy 1 week anniversary, John & Alyssa :)

A Proposal Story: Dante & Angie

Engagement photos at the 360 Bridge in Austin

Dante and Angie have a cute love story! They meet about 5 years ago, at work. Dante meet Angie through a co-worker, when they were looking for new employees. A friend referred Angie, and she got an interview with Dante for the job. He was very impressed with her and she was hired for a position at their company. While they were working together, Dante soon developed a crush on her. The stars aligned and after some time, they began dating.

Dante planned the sweetest proposal for his love, Angie. He got down on one knee and surprised her with with a diamond and ruby ring, on top of The 360 Bridge in Austin. She was so surprised, happy and filled with emotion. Dante was so excited too! He had been planning to propose to her for several weeks. He asked for her parent's blessing before hand, and had her best friend help him pick out the ring. All her family and friends help make it happen! Here are some of my favorites :)
